Betty’s is excited to announce it has opened its new Speakeasy Bar under the stoep. We will take you back in time to the roaring 20’s, when the prohibition laws in America banned alcohol and bars were closed down. This drove alcohol underground and the word “Speakeasy” was coined, as it meant you had to “speak easy“ about any secret bars to avoid imprisonment. They were often accessed by a trap door or a secret panel in a wall and a password had to be given to gain entry.
Non-residents can also make a private reservation to enjoy an evening or an afternoon down there. The booking based on a minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 18, exclusivity will be given to you to enjoy our wonderful Tapas and drinks in this wonderful space.
