Built in 1903 out of limestone Betty’s Boutique Hotel Mossel Bay oozes old fashioned elegance and glamour of a bygone era. We have lovingly furnished Betty’s with our own personal antiques and treasures, many of which we have brought from England. We the owners live on the premises so it really is a home from home. We have amazing views of the Indian Ocean and the Outeniqua Mountains from our huge covered Stoep/ Terrace, which is where you can feast on our delicious full English breakfast, and traditional afternoon Teas.
We have recently added a small children’s play area and tree house at the bottom of our extensive gardens .

We went for 1 night. Driving from cape town we only arrived after 7pm. I had booked our dinner earlier via whats app where they gave the weeks menu. After booking in we received our dinner within 30minutes. We also had a complimentory upgrade to the rose room from the secret garden originally booked. (Each room has its own theme) The service, the food, the views were all spectacular. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and we will definitely be going back.Posted on Google![]()

Beautiful property very clean and safe. We received a warm welcome upon arrival. The hotel has lots of quirkiness to it that works creating a relaxed and fun environment. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Would recommend anyone to stay here.Posted on Google![]()

Alles Tipp-Topp. Super netter Service.
The large stoep is one of our most used spaces as you will eat breakfast there, later relax with a glass of wine, curl up on Bettys sofa and read a book or just be…the views out to sea and the mountains beyond are truly amazing.
Another place to relax is by our large swimming pool, which is situated away from the bedrooms offering more privacy. Sunbathe on our loungers, sip a glass of South African wine or bubbles and take a dip when the fancy takes you.
It also features our South African Braai area where you can join us for a evening of South African grilled meats, salads and breads, corn on the cob and more, all washed down with local wines.
At Betty’s Boutique Hotel you will never feel cramped by other guests, there is always a different place to sit.
Inside Betty’s Boutique Hotel we have a beautiful bar lounge furnished sympathetically with the era with comfortable armchairs and lit with soft light from lamps.
It also has our precious pool table, brought specially from England. Betty’s husband Don used to play on it with his son Dave, at the age of 90 he beat his son again finally and was ecstatic… sadly 7 days later he passed away. However, his memory lives on as his Photograph now has pride of place overseeing the table, watching for anyone breaking the rules!
